Hi, I’m Kay, founder of Raw Made Simple. Like many dog owners, I just wanted to do the best for my dogs. But my journey to discovering the benefits of raw feeding, and eventually creating Raw Made Simple, was one I never expected to take.

The Wake-Up call

For years, I fed what I believed was a “high-end” kibble. Each day, I’d scoop it into a bowl, and each day, my dog would stroll over and peck at it without enthusiasm. I assumed this was normal. After all, the packaging promised a “complete” diet. Who was I to question it?

But over time, I began to see things weren’t quite right. My dog suffered repeated bouts of diarrhoea, and no matter what brand I tried, nothing helped. I worried about making any major changes. Surely the big pet food companies knew what they were doing?

Then a friend suggested raw feeding.

Enter Raw Feeding

At first, I was horrified. Raw chicken? For a dog with a sensitive stomach? But curiosity got the better of me. I did my own research and found a welcoming, helpful community of raw feeders. They shared their experiences, advice, and encouragement, and I finally felt confident enough to make the switch.

The results were instant. No more upset stomachs, no more sniff-and-walk-away mealtimes. My dog was excited for her food — begging for it, in fact — and I found real joy in choosing her meals and watching her thrive.

That was over six years ago. As I became more confident preparing meals at home, friends began asking questions. They loved the idea of raw feeding but didn’t feel comfortable handling raw meat, weighing ingredients, or trying to figure out a balanced diet. I realised that while raw feeding works, it isn’t easy for everyone.

So I decided to change that.

The birth of Raw Made Simple

I founded Raw Made Simple to take the hassle out of raw feeding, without compromising on quality. As a passionate dog owner and breeder, I used everything I’d learned to create a range of ready-made meals using only the best human-grade, locally sourced meat. No added grains and fillers. Just simple, species-appropriate nutrition.
