❤️ Why We Love Chicken Necks
Sometimes the simplest treats are the best!
Our Raw Chicken Necks are a natural, single-ingredient treat containing meat, bone, cartilage and connective tissue.
Their combination of meaty flavour and crunchy texture makes them an interesting addition to the diet of dogs accustomed to eating raw meaty bones.
🥩 A Natural Source of Protein
Chicken necks contain animal protein, providing amino acids that contribute to the normal maintenance of muscles and body tissues.
🦴 Naturally Occurring Calcium & Phosphorus
The raw bone provides calcium and phosphorus, two essential minerals involved in maintaining healthy bones and teeth.
❤️ Natural Collagen & Cartilage
Chicken necks contain cartilage and connective tissue, which naturally contain collagen, glucosamine and chondroitin.
These are compounds found naturally in the body's connective tissues and cartilage.
🦷 Encourages Natural Chewing
The combination of meat, cartilage and bone encourages dogs to chew and gnaw.
Chewing may help remove some food debris from teeth, although it does not replace regular dental care.
🐶 Mental Stimulation & Enrichment
Chewing is a natural behaviour for dogs and can provide an enjoyable activity.
For dogs that are suitable candidates for raw meaty bones, an appropriately sized chicken neck can offer variety and enrichment.
🐾 100% Natural Chicken
A simple, single-ingredient raw treat with no added colours, flavours or preservatives.
⭐ Kay's Top Feeding Tip – Remember the Bone Content!
When feeding our Raw Chicken Necks, I recommend pairing them with one of our Raw Made Simple Bone-Free meals.
Chicken necks contain bone, which contributes to your dog's overall daily bone intake.
Many of our raw meals already contain bone as part of their recipes.
Feeding additional bone alongside these meals may result in excessive bone consumption, potentially causing hard, dry, chalky stools and uncomfortable constipation.
Choosing one of our Bone-Free meals helps avoid adding unnecessary extra bone to your dog's diet.
One other thing I always recommend is choosing treats that suit your dog's size and eating habits. Chicken necks are relatively small, so they may not be appropriate for larger dogs or enthusiastic eaters who tend to swallow food without chewing.
Remember to account for treats as part of your dog's daily food allowance.
